The
Rising Sun, Gunnislake, Cornwall
The Rising Sun Inn, run by David and Caroline Heery, is
situated in the village of Gunnislake in the Tamar Valley,
a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and now
a World Heritage Site, in Cornwall.
The
Rising Sun in Gunnislake is extremely popular with locals
and visitors alike who enjoy a drink either in the garden,
which easily seats 60 people and overlooks the spectacular
Tamar Valley or in the bar of one of the oldest buildings
in the area – some believe the Rising Sun was formerly
the village bakehouse but if you know more, we'd
love to hear from you.
The
Rising Sun is an old-fashioned, traditional English village
pub. It’s a great networking place and we have a diverse
range of customers.
We’re
a start and end point for a number of walking trails and
Gunnislake Railway station is just up the hill from us with
a direct link along the beautiful Tamar Valley line to Calstock,
Bere Ferrers and Plymouth.
We
stock real ales and we have locally brewed cider and scrumpy,
so if you're looking for a great place for a relaxing drink
in the Tamar Valley, call in at the Rising Sun, Gunnislake.
